We are looking for Leading Hands In both our Light Vehicle Workshop and Heavy Vehicle workshop.

Position Details

• Help lead a small team and drive productivity and work quality
• Assist Managers with day to day operations
• Provide knowledge to assist with diagnostic and troubleshooting
• Help Provide supervision ensuring safety and compliance

• 5 Years Post trade in either Heavy vehicle transport industry or   light/commercial vehicle Industry.
• Experienced in diagnostics and Troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Relevant trade certificates

The position will be predominately workshop based and involve a variety of duties on new and used equipment and Heavy Vehicles including but not limited to:

• Trucks
• Trailers
• Mobile & Fixed Plant Equipment
• Machinery
• Mining Equipment

Certificate III in Mobile Plant/Heavy vehicle Technology will involve:

• Assist qualified tradesman with all aspects of mechanical service, maintenance, repairs and breakdowns
• Adhere to WH&S policies and procedures
• Assist with diagnosis and fault finding in the mechanical assessment of vehicles and equipment
• Ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy

• Motor Vehicle Tradespersons Certificate
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Vehicle Industry
• AIS inspector an advantage but not a requirement
• Service & general repairs various makes & models of Vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
• Diagnose and repair system faults
• Component change outs
• Current Full drivers Licence (C required)

• Experience in Motor Vehicle Repairs

• Minimum of 2 years experience in open cut mining in Australia (essential)

• Carry out day to day maintenance on various vehicles/machines both onsite and in our workshop

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults

• Diagnose and repair system faults

• Component change outs

• Component rebuilds

• Current Full drivers Licence (MR preferred)

• Applicants with the following Workcover tickets preferred

• EWP

• Dogging

• Forklift

• Non-slew crane

• Experience in Caterpillar, Hitachi & Komatsu Machines

• Safety first attitude (essential)

• Be committed, self-motivated and resourceful
• Highly organised and have a sense of initiative – must be able to meet deadlines
